Story Idea's

Does anyone else find writing a blog each week difficult? Maybe it’s just because I’m not use to it. Also I’m trying to keep it about writing, and I don’t always feel like writing about that. I think I am going to try to write now towards the end of the week. That seems to fit my work schedule best right now, but we will see.

Does anyone else have a list of story ideas? I do. Some I have already used. Some I have plans to use. Some are just ideas that I may or may not use one day. Some come out of my own head, some from others stories I’ve heard (book and movies). I just read a story that had a princess raised as a prince. No one but the queen and one servant know he was a she. It’s an interesting idea. I’ve long thought of doing a female pirate story. In fact the next story I write I plain to follow that idea, although she tactically won’t be a pirate.

The fun part of writing fantasy and creating your own world you can write about any store you want. And you are your own expert. In terms of land I have about everything. Now I don’t have jungle, but I know little about the jungle anyway. (Not that I know about the other environments that I use.) I do have dessert and sea as well as land types in between. I have also found I often think of stories in terms of what fit into my world. Now I also have story ideas that would not fit into my made up world but would fit in the real world. I’ve had ideas for cowboy stories as well as Native American. I have mentioned in the last blog about writing Bible Stories too. I still have some ideas in that regard too.

I was going to list some of my story ideas but I’m not sure I want to give them away. J I’m coming up with story ideas all the time. Some may one day become written stories, but many will never go farther than my own imagination.

On a side similar note, I have a list of words and phrases I can use. I have come up with some of these out of my own butt and some I have heard others say that are too good to pass up. Some say that if it’s really that good you will remember it, but I don’t think that’s always true, at least for me. There are a few I can’t forget, but there are others I have written down and latter see it and think, “Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. Man that’s a good one!” Some are just old saying themselves, like “as old as the crust in my underwear.” Others are just words, like “Nincompoop.” Especially for ode words its best if I write them down when I see them, because I will never remember how to spell them. And, with how good I am I would spell the computer may never be able to figure out what I’m trying to say.
